I took this photo in 2018 when I first moved to DC. Doesn’t the Washington Monument look so magical almost fading away on top?

Ever since I graduated high school and moved out of the Bay Area, nothing has made me more nostalgic for home than a foggy day. I always imagine a mountain-being, like Te Fiti in Moana, pulling up a fog blanket because it’s just a little too chilly. A lot of people (my girlfriend included) see fog and think it’s a sign of a rather dreary day. That’s valid and I get it, but for me it is really special. I am making a new year’s resolution to take pictures when its foggy because there isn’t anything like it!
